Car started and drove just fine to get to work.
After work it had snowed a little... for the first time this season here. Scraped the windows and then got in to start it. But when I turned the key nothing happened. No click of the starter or anything. Well... I did hear a relay like click in the area near the 'computer' aka the lower Passenger side dash area.
I assumed it may have simply been the 'starter kill' circuit on my alarm had went crappy on me... but thats not the case as I pulled the relay for it out and bypassed it. Same result.
Thinking maybe the battery somehow didnt have enough juice to kick over the starter at all (even though the dome light was not dim) I got a jumpstart. Still no difference at all.
If I try to jump directly at the starter from the positive cable to the other connector on the solenoid with wires attached it should try to crank right? I'm just thinking of trying that as a way to eliminate everything else as an option and check if its the starter itself.
I figure it that is true and it doesnt kick then it would pretty much obviously be the starter.
If that works I guess I'd have to go through and check the neutral position switch, ignition switch, etc to figure out what it is.
