Napa sells this stuff called 3M Automix Channel Bonding & Sidelite Adhesive. I used it to put in my ds window and it's held for sometime now. If you clean your track out completely (all the old cement and rust), and I mean completely it will bond much better. The only problem is that it's a two part epoxy and you have to mix it. I have a gun that the 2 tube system pack fits into and mixing tubes that attach to the tube pack so it comes out like caulking. If you plan to fix windows in Chevettes and other cars with the same type of track+window+epoxy setup, it might be a worthwhile investment, but for a one time thing, the gun is pricey. You can just press some out into two separate piles, mix it, and apply it, but like you said, now it's probably too cold for that stuff to set up properly. Btw, did you ever find a 5 speed? If you are interested in a mixing gun, I can give you info on it, and there's one from Loctite that works too. Just email me if you need more info. apkoch@rnetinc.net
