Hi. The subject explains most of it. I was wondering if it's possible and what work & or problems I would face to change the timing belt drive (at the crank) from an early model block to the late model block drive, that accomodates the wider belt? If my source online is correct, 79 and up are the late model belt and 76 1.4L & 1.6L to 78 have the early model, narrow belt. Can it be done? How is the cog wheel/gear removed and installed? Impossible, difficult, or a walk in the park? Thanks a bunch for any help on this. Oh, can someone tell me the displacement of the 1.4L in CID, (as it's listed) + the bore and stroke? The 1.6L is 98 CID (correct?) What's the bore and stroke for it as well? I didn't see it in my shop manual, or I was looking in the wrong place.
Drew
