If it cost $17 it is probably not a good make. I've had good luck with the NAPA ones, I've had one in my car for 7 years now with no issues. Previous to that I went through 3 of the $17 ones in a year... Not to mention the obvious safety issues of having your brakes be unreliable for the sake of saving a couple bucks... The NAPA one was about $45 or so, seemed to be much better quality than the Cheap stuff too.
