Rear speaker installation by Phill !

Bob, if you want better sound, and the rear plastic in your car is done, AND you feel like building something, here's a solution. I'm building 6x9 boxes for the back of mine (1 done, looks damn cool). They're not really boxes, just "holders". The speaker faces up, and there is an open space in the back which holds washer fluid perfect.
They start on the inside of the 'frame rail', go straight up and over to under the lip where the interior panel tucks under. Kinda hard to explain but looks sweet. Basically it replaces the interior panel behind the back seat.
One side took me 1 day after work and a few hours the next day, including making templates for everything, carpet and final installation.
It's very hard to explain, I'll e-mail a pic to you so you know what I mean.
I put a pair of Boston 6x9's in the back and 6" Bostons (all used, helps to have
friends that are never
satisfied ;P ) in the front and she sounds awesome! (plus the 10" Kicker sub- traded
the 2 10" Blaupunkts for it, best trade I ever made!) Kicker's gonna make way for a
pair of Orion 10"ers soon, used of course. I'd post a pic but I don't have a website
to link to.

Obviously the cargo floor will need to be replaced, but now I can make a stronger one! It was simple to make, a sliding t-bevel made the second half super easy, I tried the first half without one and that was a big mistake...
This is obviously way cool. Doesn't appear to eat into the cargo area too much.
I really like this idea Phill !
