! UNBELIEVABLE !

Any one who knows anything about Chevette's knows that they come with a "factory installed" water leak. This usually results in a rusted, or badly rusted, or missing floor pan, on the drivers side, passenger side, or both !

My Diesel car needed some attention on the drivers side. I installed a piece of aluminum to fix it up. Someday I'll be installing new carpet, and I wanted to install the original sound deadening material also.

My identical 1981 gas Chevette is a donor of parts for my Diesel car. I checked out the felt pad under the carpet, and had to take pictures of what is probably one of the finest floor pans for a Chevette on the planet !

I'm guessing that white asbestos pad on the passenger side is there for the catalytic converter. The felt pad was perfect,  except for having to remove some of it where it was glued down, so I am going to put it in my Diesel car soon.

The rest of this car is completely rust free and dent free. It will someday probably be turned into a dirt track racer. But first, since it is a perfect identical match to my Diesel car,  it is giving up it's rear defroster hatch, lots of wiring, doors, tinted glass, interior parts, including seats, plastic, etc., and any other thing can think of ! ( NO TITLE, don't ask  ! )
